Night Mail

The International Story of Mail by Rail

The Night Mail Museum will house a number of vehicles, both road and rail varieties, and will tell the complete story of how the post was delivered in the UK and across the globe.

‘Night Mail’ is a project at the Nene Valley Railway (NVR), Peterborough. The Museum Project is being driven by two of the NVR’s groups of supporters, ‘The Friends of M30272M’ and ‘The International Railway Preservation Society’. With the NVR’s unique collection of both European rail vehicles and postal vehicles, ‘Night Mail’ will be able to tell a story that no one else can.

Construction will be split into a number of sections, with work beginning on an initial four coach running shed due to begin shortly.
